Housing Options Officer
North West
3 months contract, possibility of being extended.
£16.37ph - Umbrella Rate

Main Purposes:

*This is a challenging role in a very busy team.

*Working within the Housing Options Team based in Merton House your role will require you to interview clients in a public access office-based or in their home environment and provide accurate timely advice to assist with rehousing and to prevent and resolve homelessness.

*Early intervention and successful resolution of clients housing issues are vital to prevent and resolve homelessness.

*The role is very much customer focused, front line housing advice and as such you must have excellent communication skills and be able to listen to and interpret information relayed to you in order to give accurate advice and assistance.

*The ability to establish links and effectively liaise with housing providers and partner agencies will be essential. Knowledge of Housing Law, Welfare Benefits and Housing Benefits would be an advantage, although commitment to working with sometimes challenging clients and as part of a team is as important. Computer literacy is essential.
