A superb opportunity has emerged for a generic housing officer to join one of London's highest performing local authority clients in a temporary booking which will be full time for 36 hours per week.

Based in Middlesex in West London and located close to Heathrow airport, our client anticipates an initial 8 week contract with an expected interview date week commencing 11/7/16. This is a generic role covering all aspects of Housing and the successful candidate will be required to handle anti-social behaviour and rent arrears case management queries too. This will be based on incoming queries raised by tenants and local authorities with regards to the local area.

The client is keen to recruit a tenancy management specialist with strong experience in:

* Providing the main point of local contact with tenants and leaseholders by receiving and acting upon tenants and leaseholders complaints.
* Transferring tenancies in routine cases, in accordance with relevant Council policy.
* Investigating and recommending management transfers, preparing reports for Area Housing Manager/Senior Estate Managers where appropriate.
* Carrying out accompanied viewings and signing of new tenancies ensuring all necessary documentation and records are produced.
* Advising new tenants of the provisions of the tenancy agreement, local facilities and the proper use of appliances and installations.
* Issuing orders for routine repair work in accordance with Council procedures including pre and post inspections and the checking of invoices.

Tenancy queries that will range from processing service care queries, tenancy amendments, joint tenancies and mutual exchanges. They will need access to a vehicle, so a clean driving license is also required for this post. An enhanced DBS would also be ideal, but is not essential.
