Our client based in West London is looking to recruit a Service Charge Homeownership Officer to start a new interim contract immediately.

Your duties will include:

*Interpreting and applying Section 18-30 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 (as amended), S151 of the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002.
*Awareness of the legislative and contractual requirements that impact on social landlords and the calculation of service charges/major works charges.
*Maintaining awareness of current legislation and keep abreast of future legislation appropriate to the effective operation of the team.
*Ensuring adequate arrangements for identifying requirements of individual leaseholders are in place to assist them with payment of their service charges, major works charges and ground rent
*Accurately calculating and apportioning charges and reconciling payments
*Having knowledge of recovery processes on service charge and major works arrears including any limitations

It is essential that the applicant has experience in Leasehold service charge calculation and billing
