Homelessness Prevention Officer
West Midlands, Coventry
3 months contract, possibility of being extended.
£18.30 - Umbrella Rate

Main Purpose:

The Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 creates new statutory duties that local authorities will have to perform to prevent and relieve homelessness and our client are looking for two individuals to come and enhance their existing prevention and homelessness teams.
As well as the usual administration of homelessness applications (inquiries, decisions, notifications of duties etc), the post holders will be carrying out early intervention work that is home-based and working collaboratively across services to get the best possible outcomes for our customers, residents and homeless applicants.
You will need to offer excellent organisational, case-work and case-management skills and an ability to positively engage with homeless applicants within the context of a housing market that is difficult to access.
Previous experience in a similar local authority based homelessness position is essential, so please only apply if you have previous experience 6 months or more.

If you are interested, please apply within and I will be in touch with shortlisted candidates in due course.
