GDPR Business Analyst

A fantastic job opportunity has arisen for a GDPR Business Analyst to join one of our largest Local Authority clients in a temporary assignment for 3 month initially (with every possibility of an extension should the successful candidate perform well).

Based in East London, this is a full time role (36 hours per week, Monday to Friday).

Purpose of the Job

The Council has developed a GDPR compliance programme which this role is required to support. As well as providing general administrative duties to support the overall programme this role will be responsible for ensuring that the Councils Information Asset Register IAR is populated. This role is outside IR35.

Main Activities

*Design, and deliver content questionnaires that will assist in identifying the specific information sets and their relevant owners across the council that will feed into and underpin the information readiness survey and overall GDPR compliance programme.
*To populate the Councils' Information Asset Register (IAR) system with council organisational structures and people data obtained as part of the information exploration process to ensure that the IAR is accurate and supports the councils desired data structure.
*To provide interim programme support to the journey towards compliance working to tight deadlines.
*To be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate records and utilising modern data storage techniques such as Sharepoint to support the programme and project.
*To organise, co-ordinate, attend and minute a range of meetings, forums and working groups both formal and informal
*Be conversant with the use of a range of appropriate information technology systems to maintain records and produce a range of documents including letters, memos, spreadsheets and presentations to fulfil the duties of the post
*Undertake and participate in projects as directed as part of the overall GDPR compliance programme.
*Maintain good customer relations both internally and with outside organisations to ensure the effective and efficient service delivery of the section
