Fundraising Manager/Supervisor - London/North London/Home-based

DEPARTMENT: FUNDRAISING: COMMUNITY AND CORPORATE

Salary £24000 - £28000

Background:

My Client is looking for a fundraising supervisor. They rely on the fundraising support of people across the UK. Within the Fundraising Division, their aim is to provide maximum resources for the cause (prevent child abuse). By working together they create the best possible donor experience, building long term relationships to create a supporter experience which is different, better and more rewarding than that of supporting any other charity.

Main Responsibilities:

1. With the support of the Head of Regional Fundraising devise, agree, deliver and
be accountable for the area income budget, managing expenditure appropriately
- to enable thecharities to plan it's activity and services

2. To be responsible and accountable for the development of relationships with all
supporters, in particular SME's worth £25k or less and maintain and retain our
Branch and District Supporters

3. To devise and deliver consistent high quality, relevant stewardship and
engagement programmes for all existing and prospective supporters, using
creative methods of communication and utilising organisational networks and
opportunities to optimise success

4. To proactively improve and capture knowledge and understanding of supporters
through developing the charities relationship with them and inspiring them to raise
funds

5. To research, develop and manage a robust pipeline of potential corporate
supporters from the SME sector; as well as relevant information that can
contribute to proposals and applications

6. To work with fundraisers and staff in other departments to maximise relationships
with the charities supporters

7. To complete monthly reports as required

8. To ensure compliance with policy and procedures

9. To be the key contact for external suppliers and agencies who support fundraising
events and activities, ensuring appropriate agreements are in place to the
required legal requirements, and that goods/services are delivered as agreed.

Responsibilities for all Fundraising staff:

* To maintain accurate and up to date records on Raisers Edge in line with the charities policy and procedures and Data Protection legislation

* To actively participate in regular team and department meetings.

* To maintain an awareness of own and others' Health and Safety and comply with the the charities Health and Safety policy and procedures.

* To take personal responsibility for keeping up to date with the charities work to end cruelty to children.

PERSON SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Well developed ability to proactively lead, develop and manage relationships
with individuals and organisations - both internally and externally to achieve
objectives through these relationships

2. Excellent communication skills to deliver fundraising pitches, ideas and
project updates to a range of audiences in a clear, inspiring and confident way

3. Ability to plan, monitor and implement projects/events/initiatives to agreed
deadlines often with conflicting priorities

4. Proven ability of demonstrating initiative and creativity to achieve desired
outcomes

5. Well-developed ability to successfully negotiate with others to achieve desired
outcomes

7. Well-developed ability to work with and through other teams and
departments to maximise results for the organisation

8. Well-developed numeracy skills for entering, recording, interpreting,
analysing and presenting financial data in clear and accurate format

9. Ability to collect and analyse data, identify opportunities and evaluate their
viability

10.Experience of success in developing relationships in order to achieve results
within a fundraising environment.

Knowledge and experience:

1. Proficiency in using windows based software packages including word, excel, email, power point, publisher and the internet

2. Knowledge of Raisers Edge would be beneficial
