Badenoch & Clark are currently assisting a non-departmental public body with the recruitment of a number of permanent software development positions. This organisation, that bridges the gap between Health & Central Government, has highlighted the need for two experienced Full Stack Developers to join their rapidly growing team, who will work flexibly from their hubs in either London, or Bolton.

The Opportunity

The programme has been established to develop a suite of products and information services, specifically the development of a mobile first application that supports the management of users working on-site in NHS premises.

This represents an ideal opportunity for a number of competent developers to expand their skills into the most recent technology stack in a productive and supportive team who strongly endorses the self-organising ethos of Agile. The team has been complimented on its understanding and adoption of Agile principles by external assessors, the first of its kind across the organisation.

The application is being built using the Government Digital Service approach and a microservices design pattern utilising open source technologies, including Java 8, Spring Boot, Angular (v4), JHipster and the ELK stack. HEE have an established and tested CI/CD pipeline with Jenkins, Ansible and Docker at its core, cloud hosted on Azure, supporting BDD with JUnit, Mockito and Cucumber.

Specification

To be effective in this role you will be an experienced software developer familiar with a range of digital / web services and solutions, ideally where open source and cloud technologies have applied; utilising agile development methods. You will work independently and in the team, with a high degree of proactivity and adaptability to changing circumstances and demands.

You will be an excellent communicator who has worked in an agile environment focused on delivery. You will be confident in working with users and using a variety of development tools and techniques and be committed to quality and continuous improvement.

There are two positions available, one of which will based in London, offering £45,000-49,000 per Annum salary and the other being based in Bolton, offering £38,000-£42,000 per Annum salary.
