Finance Analyst

A fantastic job opportunity has arisen for a Finance Analyst or to join one of our largest Housing Association clients in a temporary assignment for three months initially (with every possibility of an extension should the successful candidate performs well).

Based in Westminster, London, this is a full time role (36 hours per week, Monday to Friday).

Purpose of the role:

You will be providing the organisation's medium and long term financial planning and business analysis requirements. Working with key senior stakeholders in the organisation providing costing and project appraisal support. You will be monitoring project and overall organisational performance against the financial forecasts.

Main accountabilities:

*Lead on the production of Housing Association's 30 year financial plan to include stress testing likely and extreme scenarios linked to the key financial and operational risks. Provide options for mitigating these risks and model the outputs of mitigating actions in the financial plan

*Understand complex financial planning issues and their implications to provide well-argued options to support Executive management decision making

*Lead on the financial evaluation of new business acquisition opportunities and their impact on the Housing Association's long term financial viability. Ensure robust due diligence processes and procedures and manage the relationship with due diligence providers

*Develop and maintain investment appraisal models for future capital programmes. Provide financial option appraisals to support decision making at Risk Panel for Senior Leadership Team (SLT) consideration. Monitor spends against the project financial plan. Prepare post-development project analysis, monitoring return on investment

*Work closely with Business Development and other key stakeholders to develop and maintain sustainable pricing models for care and support contracts for use in business development and tender responses. Provide financial input and analysis for Risk Panel papers for SLT consideration

*Provide meaningful financial analysis of the organisation's separate business units and their long term financial performance and viability. Review and model LACS contract waterfall and its impact on future financial viability.

*Provide analysis unit costs and lead on benchmarking these costs to provide a clear understanding of comparative financial performance and identify areas for improvement

*Lead on the ownership of Asset Performance Evaluation model and its key outputs to inform the Asset Management Strategy
