Key Responsibilities:

Purchase Ledger
*Ensure all direct cost purchase invoices are coded using the correct Nominal Ledger coding structure
*Post & allocate PL invoices against relevant jobs (and purchase orders), raising any discrepancies with the Operations Team for investigation
*Ensure the number of direct costs invoices without Purchase Orders are minimised and bought to the attention of the UK General Manager in support of the Gross Margin Improvement project
*Process any approved Supplier invoices without a PO, via Sage Accounts Payable
*Review and highlight any abnormal purchase cost variances & circulate to relevant colleagues
*Assist with the preparation of the twice monthly payment runs and provide supporting documentation where necessary. Check the payment run for completeness and send the remittances to the suppliers
*Supplier statement reconciliations

Management Accounting
*Generate, review and prepare the monthly direct cost accrual (PPV) in a timely manner for uploading to ensure that all missing costs are correctly accounted for in the Management and Statutory Accounts
*Reconcile the bank statement to the accounting system and revalue the accounts on a monthly basis
*Calculate and process the intercompany job charges
*Calculate and process the intercompany direct cost recharges.
*Calculate the intercompany loan interest and revalue the loan balances on a monthly basis
*Prepare various journals for upload at month end
*Revalue the debtors and creditors at the end of the month and close the ledgers

*Dealing with customer/supplier enquires
*Checking the Accounts email inbox and responding in a timely manner
*To provide Ad-hoc support and necessary cover to other members of the accounts team including in times of holiday and sickness.
*Working with the Business Systems Department to help develop Accounting Systems
