Are you looking for a progressive Finance Manager role with the goal of stepping up into a Financial Controller position in the next couple of years?

We have been engaged by a leader in their field to appoint a Finance Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of the financial planning cycle in addition to core financial and management reporting duties.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

Running the end-to-end budgeting process and co-ordinating with all stakeholders across the business to ensure a high-quality budget with appropriate analysis approved by the Board in line with the agreed timetable. Supporting the budget with insightful analysis of financials and referenced to a clear understanding of the business activities planned for the period ahead. Modelling the financial effects (P&L, Capex, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) for budget, periodic reforecast and long-term plans (> 1 year). Prepare presentations to explain the Budgets / Forecast and deliver these to finance and shareholder stakeholders.

Financial Reporting:

Manage the external audit process two audits each year, including acting as the contact point across the finance team; managing deliverables and ensuring deadlines are met. Preparation and finalisation of all aspects of the statutory accounts for approval by the Board. Provide constant oversight of the application of correct accounting policies under IFRS through involvement in budgeting cycle and actuals close and reporting.

Management reporting:

Preparation of monthly management accounts and presenting in monthly reviews. Constant review & evolution of management accounts to provide clear, insightful and timely information on company financial performance. Active development and ownership of the "Planner" module of the Finance system to facilitate planning and reporting. Preparation of all other internal management finance reporting to explain performance including monthly scorecard, Operating Committee briefings and monthly MD Reports.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with a strong background in financial and management accounting including an in depth understanding of the budgeting and forecasting process.
You must be able to understand and interpret complex ideas and information sets and present these clearly and concisely to non-finance personnel.
