A new vacancy has arisen within a renowned construction company for a 3+ PQE solicitor with working knowledge of construction contracts including JCT contracts.

Reporting to the Head of Legal, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

- Drafting and reviewing subcontracts and JCT forms of contract.
- Advising the commercial team on the processes necessary to ensure compliance under the Housing Grants Act.
- Advising the business on claims arising from the supply chain or employers and assisting the teams in the timely administration of notices as appropriate.
- Providing expertise and overseeing insurance claims for both personal injury and property damage.
- Assisting the commercial team in relation to insolvency issues affecting contracts and subcontracts.

This opportunity would suit someone who is a self-starter and who can communicate effectively to various disciplines and seniority across the business. You must have a demonstrable background in non-contentious construction matters, and ideally have dealt with some contentious work also. Previous in-house experience within a contractor is highly preferable, but not a prerequisite.
