My client, a Local Authority in the West Midlands is looking for additional capacity and specialist skills in commissioning in relation to a large programme of work around Early Intervention and Increasing Independence for Adults. The role will be for an estimated 5 months, to start ASAP and it is out of scope of IR35.

As the authority looks to increase its focus on early intervention, prevention and self care, they have identified a number of priority areas and require an experienced commissioner to support the on going development of their strategy and commissioning activity in this area.

They are looking to enhance their service offering in relation to community support through up scaling of social prescribing and the use of health and wellbeing volunteers to coordinate interventions as well as reviewing access to online support and supporting people to stay in their own homes safely.

This role will require an accomplished and credible commissioner with experience of Older People Services and particularly a track record in driving prevention and maximising independence projects.

You will have experience of cost benefit analysis, working with a range of stakeholders internally and externally (with any experience of working with the voluntary sector very desirable) and an understanding of the key issues related to vulnerable and elderly adults particularly with supporting people with living at home.

If interested please apply for immediate consideration.
