Badenoch & Clark is currently looking to recruit a Risk and Assurance Manager to join a housing provider based in West Yorkshire. This is an exciting permanent opportunity to deliver key functional responsibilities including governance, safeguarding, equality and diversity, data protection, risk management and business continuity.

Overview of Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement a coordinated and consistent approach to risk management across the organisation and support the Head of Service to develop a risk framework to ensure that best practice is embedded and adhered to.
* Implement the risk management strategy across all areas including governance, safeguarding, equality and diversity, data protection, business continuity.
* Promote and maintain key internal policies in line with the risk management framework.
* Support in developing and monitoring an annual internal audit plan in line with risk registers, ensuring that all recommendations are reported to the Risk and Audit Committee.
* Provide leadership and oversight of the company's safeguarding activities and ensure policies and procedures are being adhered to.
* Participate in service reviews and service planning ensuring that all recommendations are implemented.
* Work towards the achievement of equality accreditation's e.g. ENEI framework.

The successful applicant must have previous experience of working within a business assurance, risk or governance role preferably within social housing or public sector. Educated to degree level or equivalent and/or a qualification relevant to the role. You must have knowledge of Health & Safety, Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Data Protection legislation.
