Badenoch and Clark is recruiting for an Asset Surveyor to join a housing provider based in West Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure the provision of a customer focused maintenance service and other Asset Management activities which is responsive to the organisation and neighbourhood priorities and provides value for money.

Overview of Duties
* Manage the planning and delivery of designated projects in line with organisation policy and procedure.
* Manage the complete inspection process to ensure the full extent of the works programmes are validated and established.
* Carry out necessary contractor consultation, ordering and management including working partner contractors to ensure robust validation of proposed programmes.
* Preparation of professional and accurate specifications for the purpose of obtaining quotations/tenders, ensuring they demonstrate value for money.
* Identify areas of risk and assess avoidance measures in line with policies and procedures.
* Act as a point of contact for customers receiving planned works.

The successful applicant will have a qualification in building studies or a construction related topic. You will have experience of working within a maintenance environment within a Housing Association or Local Authority and be able to manage budgets. The post holder will have excellent communication skills and be able to liaise with both tenants and contractors.
