The development team

As put by Development Director Tom Shaw, ‘We are more than the development arm of a Housing Association. We are a serious developer with the ambition of becoming one of the top 10 UK house builders over the next 5 years. We currently build 1500 homes a year and aim to bring this up to 3000 homes a year’.

If you’re an aspiring graduate, working with The Hyde Group can offer you a wider range of experience than the private sector, in every sense. ‘Our projects are by nature bespoke schemes and designs’, explains Tom, ‘working with us you will have the opportunity to get involved in the design process as well.’ Given our ambitious goals, we work on a number of joint ventures with the private sector, giving you exposure to both sectors. Some of our current partners include Barratt London and First Base. To get a sense of the range of our work, just take a look at some of our projects.

Here is what some of our team have to say about working in Development at The Hyde Group:

The team love the variety that working in development at Hyde brings them. ‘No site is the same, and every day brings something new’, says Construction & Projects Manager, Blessing Kwambana.

‘Working here allows you to get a good understanding of how schemes are developed from planning to handover which contributes to the knowledge needed to progress in this sector’, says Product Quality Assistant Dylan Cunningham.

For Product Quality Co-Ordinator, Lauren Pask, ‘Having the opportunity to be with a building from the ground up and observing the amount of hard work care and attention everyone invests, to ensure the finish product is a great one, and one that I am proud to be a part of’.

‘This variety allows me to constantly learn new things and widen my knowledge’ feels Construction Project Manager, Terry Woodcock. ‘Working here I feel that I am having a direct input in improving people’s quality of life’, adds Terry.
