As a recruitment consultancy, we work closely with clients to achieve their diversity and equal opportunity objectives and to ensure compliance with current legislation.
Implementing change
Working with our in-house legal team we ensure that Badenoch & Clark is fully compliant with the most recent equal opportunities legislation. For example, the Age Discrimination Law introduced in October 2006 was prefaced by an awareness campaign to communicate the change in legislation to our clients as well as our consultants. Breakfast seminars were organised internally and externally by our legal department to provide a forum for discussion and answers to our consultants’ and clients’ questions. Our recruitment processes were amended to reflect changes in legislation.
Our clients are provided with diversity statistics relating to their workers sourced via Badenoch & Clark and trends identified through monitoring are addressed by widened media strategies and attraction measures. We advertise in ethnic media including "The Voice" and the "Ethnic Britain Directory" to attract a diverse cross-section of candidates both for our clients and for internal positions. We monitor our own employee diversity in order to achieve our pledge of continuous improvement as an equal opportunities employer.
