Our Oxfordshire based client wishes to appoint a proven Solutions Architect. You will join a large IT department and existing architecture team and will apply your skills to help define, improve and maintain the company's existing global architecture.

In particular our client is seeking skilled Architects who have designed within large global 'SAP' environments. This is a MUST have. Without evidence of SAP on your CV your application is not likely to be successful but to reiterate we are also not looking for an outright SAP specialist. Your architecture skills will be deep and broad but MUST also include evidence and knowledge of SAP (environments) from recent assignments.

You will...
- Work closely and consult with senior Technical Managers, Programme and Project Managers.
- Help to verify and technically assure the work of 3rd party partners in order that SAP led designs, projects and technology implementations are fit for business needs.
- Ensure that all design work aligns with the technology strategy and enterprise architecture.
- Help to identify and implement new technology innovations that will be fit for business needs.
- Perform hands on design work both on your own when needed and in collaboration with other Architects and technology specialists.

Other / wider skills and experience needed...
- You will be fully averse with Agile and or SAFe (Scaled Agile) methods.
- Ideally have a mixed sector background including both public and private sectors.
- Have worked for large global brands that have complex global architectures and challenges.
- Experience of implementing Cloud based technology solutions.
- Broad digital/web based technology solutions experience will be strongly in your favour.

About you...
- You will need to be a strong communicator and able to quickly inspire confidence in your knowledge of the technology stack.
- Degree educated with supporting, relevant professional/technical qualifications.
- You will need to have a natural ability to simplify and communicate complex architectural and technology concepts appropriate to your audience (who will not always be technical).

In summary, a proven Solutions Architect with deep and broad skills is needed for this position and your CV MUST show evidence of delivering in large SAP ERP environments.

The reason for this contract opportunity is because our client has been wanting to appoint a permanent (salaried) individual into this role. That has proved challenging, so they are now keen to employ a contractor to cover the skills gap. The position will very likely last for at least 6 months with a strong chance of being retained for longer if you are adding good value.

A note on rate...
The day rate displayed on this advert is a 'suggested rate' based on our clients usual expectations and budgetary parameters. We the agency are happy to take an open and solutions based approach on rates, within reason, in order that we may successfully deliver on the requirement.

Badenoch & Clark look forward to receiving your application.
