Our client based in South West London is looking to recruit a new Supported Housing Team Leader to join their team on an initial 3 month basis.

You will provide the Tenancy Support team with guidance on a range of tenancy sustainment issues; providing regular supervision and ensuring that procedures are regularly reviewed to ensure the support offered is appropriate to the client's support needs identified resulting in successful outcomes.

Your duties will include:

*Managing 5 members of staff
*Responsible for the management of team of Tenancy Support Officers providing intensive support to a caseload of vulnerable tenants following referrals from other internal and external agencies.
*Cover for Head of Supported Housing Services on matters relating to the support of vulnerable tenants and will attend appropriate forums including Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol, and Inclusive Supporting People Focus groups as required.
*Responsible for the induction and training of new Tenancy Support Officers and will also identify training needs within the existing team and arrange appropriate training.
*Undertakes one to one formal supervision with Tenancy Support Officers in accordance with current PRP and appraisal procedures. Will define priorities for the staff in managing caseloads and will monitor overall performance, recording outcomes, and maintain accurate statistical and financial records.
*To issue orders for more complex discretionary repairs and monitor the adherence to budget limits by the Tenancy Support team. Liaise with the area team on more complex works and mediates over any disputes as they arise
*Will maintain databases for the monitoring of support provided to individual residents as required. Will allocate cases for formal support to the tenancy support team.
*Responsible for monitoring rent accounts of clients managed by the Tenancy Support Officers ensuring that payment arrangements are adhered to, providing regular performance reports to the Director of Finance

The following skills are required:

*Experience of working with a range of vulnerable tenants from under 18's to the older person living in their own homes.
*Experience and knowledge of claiming benefits to maximise income on behalf of the tenants offer advice to the Tenancy Support team and tenants alike.
