Our Fantastic London-based client is looking for an experienced ICT Release Manager to join their amazing organisation. You will possess proven ICT Release Management and Change experience to obtain User Group needs and liaise with Suppliers.
Responsibilities
*Management of the client's responsibilities with regard to end to end release process, owning the release cycle.
*Maintenance of the Release Forward Schedule.
*Facilitate the continual service improvement processes.
*Responsible for the Change Advisory Board activities.
*Actively participate in the Application User Group, providing change governance expertise to the group.
*Support the design, agreement and implementation of the relevant service model standards and processes.
*Enforce the compliance with the release assurance processes and policies.
*Agree each Release package with the relevant stakeholders.
*Review and assess the quality of release deliverables.
*Act as the point of escalation for release related matters.
*Ensure coordination of the supplier's build and test teams and the client's teams.
*Provision of management reports on the status of each Release Package listed on the Release Forward Schedule.
*Manage the Release Package user acceptance testing including business sign off.
*Liaising with the supplier's Service Delivery function and the client's service support functions on all issues associated with roll-out planning including method of deployment of the Release Package.
*Ensure Release Package testing is in accordance with predefined acceptance criteria.
*Managing all communication, preparation and training in consultation with the Product Owner.
*Auditing hardware and software before and after the implementation of Release Package.
*Undertake related activities such as stakeholder interactions and team meetings.
*Meet the information security requirements of the organisation, particularly in relation to sensitive information.
*Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested from time to time, within the job-holders capabilities.
Relevant Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
*Demonstrable experience in a Release Management and/or configuration management role.
*Demonstrable experience in managing application releases.
*Excellent interpersonal skills.
*Strong stakeholder management experience.
*Experience of chairing and managing the CAB function.
*Excellent understanding of application software maintenance & support.
*Excellent understanding of product release methodologies (including familiarity with ITIL's Release and Deployment Management process).
*Strong knowledge of the various software development lifecycles.
*Strong system integration experience.
*Strong experience planning the development and delivery of complex software products.
*Ability to lead and influence.
Desirable
*An understanding of CRM product architecture and infrastructure components.
*Experience in liaising with, and monitoring the performance of, an external IS service provider.
*An understanding or experience of public sector processes.
*Experience in release management of a public facing software application.
