Establishment, delivery and success of business change portfolio and practice to drive successful transformation throughout the business in line with growth.

The Role
My client has grown rapidly, and the environment is relatively greenfield from a change and transformation perspective. You will be leading a team of around 12 but this will see significant growth over the next couple of years. You will be responsible for leading a portfolio, establishing change and transformation tools and methodologies. A key part of the role will be ensuring the business understand change management and 'owns' it - this will mean building the credibility of the team, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate in an environment of great ambiguity. This role reports to the board.
*You will shape and deliver the portfolio of business change projects
*To manage business change ensuring all business impacts arising from the projects are identified and tracked and that maximum benefit is gained from all changes implemented
*To manage the key stakeholders, including fortnightly/executive progress reporting against the business change plan
*To interpret and manage the business risk exposure generated by the business change portfolio.

You will be responsible for the portfolio financials and controls; coaching and supporting Project Managers; and manage external suppliers and senior executive level stakeholders.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have at least five years senior leadership experience in a pure change management or portfolio delivery role. You will have previously established tools and methodologies in an immature transformation environment from scratch or early stage.
Experienced in project and change management, you have a strong understanding of project interdependencies and how they can affect the business and successful portfolio delivery.
You have well developed stakeholder management skills; you are results focussed and build positive relationships and as the head of the department you are experienced reviewing the portfolio numbers.
