Reporting into the Finance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the provision of accurate and punctual financial reporting for the group. You will also be required to contribute to the construction of the company's strategic long-term goals and supervise their progression through to fruition. Due to the nature of the role the suitable applicant will have extensive demonstrable prior experience within a role of a similar nature and will hold a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
Key Accountabilities:
* Responsible for preparing consolidated financial information to be presented to the company and ensuring that they remain in congruence with accounting standards and company dictated processes.
* Analyse monthly data and subsequently explicate any variances, provisions and accruals to various stakeholders throughout the company.
* Responsible for the production of long and short-term company objectives as well as forecasts and budgets.
* Accountable for optimising procedures and processes of the wider finance function thus improving the quality of all financial information.
* Maintain up to date market knowledge with particular focus on UK and international GAAP.
* Responsible for the preparation and provision of statutory accounts for multiple arms of the company.
* Liaise with internal and external audit teams as necessary.
* Responsible for ensuring the correct and efficacious financial controls are in place.
* Maintain an up to date reporting knowledge
Essentials:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
* Significant demonstrable prior experience within a similar role.
* Experience working within a national sized company.
