**Financial Accountant - Greater Manchester - £30,000 - £35,000 - Permanent Position**

Badenoch and Clark's notable client based in Greater Manchester requires a Financial Accountant to work on a permanent basis. The role is to begin as soon as possible and is paying a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum plus bonus and desirable benefits.


The job description

The successful candidate will assist in the preparation of group reporting and accounts through following established procedures, accounting principles and guidelines in order to accurately maintain financial records and transactions.


Tasks and responsibilities will include:

*Ensuring month end tasks, such as accruals, prepayments, provisions and inventory revaluations are executed in a timely and accurate manner.
*Analysing month end processes and looking for ways to streamline/improve the process while liaising with key internal stakeholders when required.
*Assisting in the year-end and hard close process.
*Reviewing financial statements, and providing detailed analysis when required, escalating any discrepancies to key internal stakeholders.
*Playing a key role in both internal/external financial Audits, ensuring all financial entries have relevant bank up, and assisting Auditors as required.
*Supporting other areas of the business as and when required. This could include providing project support to AP/AR functions.


The ideal candidate will:

*Have an AAT qualification or working towards an accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA).
*Have a Shared Service Centre (SSC) background.
*Have month end closing experience.
*Possess strong knowledge of ERP system (SAP, Oracle). Intermediate excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, sumifs)
*Have a good understanding of accounting principles, including experience with IFRS.
*Have strong organization skills and work well under pressure.
*Show good team management skills.
*Demonstrate accuracy and pay attention to detail.
