Our client, an established multinational financial services business based in Leicester is seeking a Finance Analyst to join the team. The purpose of the role would be the management and production of regular value added stakeholder reporting of costs. Supporting in the consolidated month end, planning, budget and forecast cycles The organisation would provide full study support and an excellent package.

Responsibilities Include:

*Production of accurate cost reports and meaningful analysis on the organisations cost base.
*Pro-active analyse of cost performance against budget, forecast and prior year including identifying underlying financial trends / risks / opportunities
*Provide management and Group Reporting teams with a clear understanding of how the cost base is progressing against targets
*Identification of key / material variances for investigation, liaising and challenging business stakeholders to understand causes.
*Produce regular month end reports, using excel skills to automate and improve efficiency on a continuous basis
*Prepare and take part in month end reviews with different directorates as required
*Provision of independent view on pattern and accuracy of cost performance to senior management
*Support the quarterly forecasting cycle and annual budget setting process
*Liaise with various directorates to understand progress and challenge performance
*Consolidate and review submissions, providing analysis to management
*Provide professional Cost management advice and support to stakeholders
*Liaise with business stakeholders to resolve any issues / queries and overcome any potential issues, communicating key conclusions to senior management

The ideal Candidate would have the following:

*Part Qualified Accountant (Desirable)
*Relevant degree graduate or equivalent with 1 or 2 years commercial experience
*Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge business processes / information, where appropriate
*Advanced Excel skills
*Strong reporting skills
*Banking & Financial Services experience (Desirable)
