Corporate Partnerships - Senior New Business Manager

We have the pleasure of working with one of the UK's leading charities, on a rare and hugely inspiring opportunity which has arisen for a talented, well networked individual to join one of their growing teams at an exciting time.

The role is for a senior New Business Manager within their Corporate Partnerships team, and the purpose of this role is to identify, win and develop new corporate partnerships, raising income to support people living with cancer and playing a leading role in the delivery of the corporate partnerships new business strategy.

This is a 18month fixed term maternity cover post, home-based with a salary from £33k. You MUST possess a valid drivers license and be available to start within a week, although this role is home-based, you are able to work in their offices in Vauxhall some days of the week if you wish.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Proactively develop and oversee a new business pipeline to secure a range of high value partnerships

2. Create compelling propositions, proposals and pitches to secure partnerships in line with the new business strategy, including charity of the year, commercial and strategic partnerships

3. Meet your personal annual fundraising target by developing relationships with major companies from scratch; leading the process from securing the first meeting to delivering high quality pitches and proposals and negotiating high value partnerships

4. Line manage and inspire team members to secure new business through training, coaching and mentoring, as well as sharing best practise to increase the success of approaches

Knowledge Required:
Professional/technical know how (essential)
o Excellent knowledge of how to develop approaches and propositions to win new partnerships.
o Commercial understanding and cross sector business knowledge.

Legislation and policy
o Full understanding of Gift Aid regulations and tax efficient charitable giving.

Tools, techniques and methods
o Expert sales and negotiation skills.
o Excellent presentation skills.

Essential Experience Required:

1. Corporate fundraising experience, including demonstrable experience of securing a wide range of high value corporate partnerships.
2. Working within a new business function in fundraising or commercial sector.
3. Evidence of acquisition of high value partnerships

This role offers a salary of £33-38k per annum alongside solid progression opportunities available, a very good benefits scheme, as well as full and comprehensive training and support on offer.
